Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic:

– The first month of 2020 shows that we continue to deliver a product which our customers like. The passenger growth in January is a good start for us in 2020. We are happy to see that we are on the right path, as in January 2020 we were able to carry 19% more passengers than the year before.”

– This year we will further improve the sustainability of our business. We fly a growing number of Airbus A220-300, the greenest commercial aircraft available, but we are not stopping there. We have introduced various other initiatives to decrease our CO2 emissions, with more to come, Martin Gauss adds.

During January 2020, airBaltic has operated 4 529 flights or 3% more than in January 2019. The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic during January 2020 reached a level of 93%. This means that more than 93 out of every 100 airBaltic flights departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
