easyJet launch Europe-wide plane spotting competition

easyJet has  launched a network-wide competition asking its Facebook and Instagram followers to track down its 20th birthday plane.  Once they spot it, all they have to do is take a snap and send it in for a chance to win free flights.

The brand new plane, which entered service in december 2015, is easyJet’s 243rd  Airbus A320 aircraft and is emblazoned with a special one off livery unveiled as part of the airline’s 20th birthday celebrations on 10th of November this year.

easyJet Group Commercial Director, Peter Duffy, commented:

– In our 20th birthday year we wanted to create an engaging social campaign for people to get involved and be able to interact with us.

– easyJet has over 780 routes on sale to 33 countries so our plane could be flying anywhere. It’s now up to our social community to track it down. With its striking 20th birthday livery, we think it makes for an engaging way for us to continue to inspire current and future ‘generation easyJet’ customers as part of a Europe-wide hunt.”

– We’re after photos of our 20th birthday plane and all you need to do to enter is post a photo on Facebook or on Instagram or Twitter tagging @easyJet and using the hashtag #PlaneSpotting. We’ll draw four entrants at random to each win one pair of flights to Europe. Ends 09/02/16.
