Naturist Association Thailand will arrange a naked run in the jungle in October 2016. The run will be either 2.5 km or 5 km – or if there is enough demand even extended to 10 km. But the short run could also simply be a walk along the jungle track to the finishing line.
The run will take place around the 23-24 October 2016 – the long weekend of the Chulalongkorn Day and will follow the format of the popular “mini-half marathon” that are currently very popular in and around Bangkok.
The location of the run will be communicated only to the participants themselves in order to avoid paparazzi photographers. The route is a forest road in a beautiful, natural forest area some three to four hours drive out of Bangkok. Participants are urged to join the accommodation for the night before to be in place for the run.
The event will be documented but only by our own photographers and no other cameras are allowed. The participants will have a number written on their shoulder and if there is a line under the number, it means the person has declined to be in the VDO and/or photos and must be cut out in the editing. The colour of the number will indicate if the participant is doing the short, medium or long distance.
The upward elevation over the 5 km from the start to the finishing line is a combined 87 meter and the downward elevation a combined 113 meter. Especially on the downward hills, the runners are advised to be very careful, as the ground may be slippery and the road is a gravel road. A medic car will follow and pick up any person with injuries.
The race will demand nothing is worn between neck and knee. Hats, sweat bands or other head gear is allowed; as are shoes, sandals, and socks. Each participant will be asked to bring a small plastic bag to but your street clothes in as you will be disrobing in the jungle. Your name on a paper clearly visible through the bag or taped to the outside of the bag will be helpful in identifying your bag once the race is over.
Participants must not display any nudity to or from the race route, as travel will be in public view.
Medals will be awarded after the race at a place to be determined.
