Per Jonsson started his career with Radisson Hotel Group in 1989 as Conference Host at SAS Royal Hotel Malmö. He has now returned to the hotel to position it as one of the absolute best hotels in the city.

– It is with great pleasure we welcome Per back to the very same hotel where he once started his career with the Radisson Hotel Group. We are thrilled to have him back and confident he and his team will succeed with turning this into the leading hotel in the city, comments Claude Bulte, Regional Director Sweden & Baltics for Radisson Hotel Group.

Experienced hotelier

Per Jonsson has held various positions in sales both for Radisson Hotel Group as well as Provobis Hotels and Star Hotels over the past 10 years. He has been working as General Manager within Nordic Choice hotels as well as Scandic Hotels.

His most recent position was as General Manager for Park Inn by Radisson in Malmö which he started in 2018. Over the years he has completed various sales and leadership training courses.

After working with several other chains and brands in the region for many years, Per Jonsson chose to come back to Radisson Hotel Group because the hotel group offers premium brands.

– Radisson Blu Hotel Malmö was once the number one hotel in Malmö and is one out of few premium brands in the city. My mission is to put the hotel back on the map again, Per Jonsson explains.

Malmö is one of South Sweden’s treasures, with a mix of modern and trendy vibes and a strong sense of local history. The Radisson Blu Hotel in Malmö is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the city center, where you’ll find bustling shopping streets and the train station.

Copenhagen is just 35 minutes away via the Oresund Bridge. Walk out onto the streets of Malmö, and you can’t help but notice the Turning Torso, a futuristic-looking feat of architecture which happens to be the tallest skyscraper in Scandinavia. When in Malmö, remember to explore the Fersons area, a shopping district bursting with cutting-edge fashion and vintage boutiques.

Relax and recharge in spacious rooms

After a day of exploring the surrounding areas and interesting sights, the best feeling is to just unwind and relax. Radisson Blu Hotel Malmö offers 229 spacious and bright guest rooms and suites designed with calming and peaceful tones and carefully chosen amenities with guests’ needs in mind.

– All of the rooms are a minimum of 43 square meters which allows the guests plenty of space during their stay, explains Per Jonsson.

He will use his service philosophies – ‘It’s all about details’ and ‘Attitude is everything’ to make sure all guests get the best possible stays.
