Norwegian Connects the Strip to Sussex with Direct Flights from Las Vegas to London

Norwegian, awarded as the world’s best low-cost long-haul airline, will launch direct service from Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport to London Gatwick on October 31. This is Norwegian’s fourth nonstop destination from Las Vegas; service to Oslo, Norway begins in November, while service to Copenhagen, Denmark, and Stockholm, Sweden, began last November.

– Norwegian is very committed to growing the U.S. market, and we are delighted to grow our presence at McCarran International Airport by adding service to London Gatwick,” said Thomas Ramdahl, Norwegian’s Chief Commercial Officer.

– We’ve seen great performance on all of our transatlantic flights, and now, we are able to make travel to London more affordable for Nevadans. With the combination of our award-winning service and low fares, we are positive that this new route will be just as popular.”

– McCarran International Airport is pleased to welcome more growth from Norwegian. Less than a year ago we hosted its first Las Vegas service from Stockholm and Copenhagen, and later this year we’ll see the addition of Oslo, and now London Gatwick,” said Rosemary Vassiliadis, Director of Aviation for Clark County, Nev.

– We’re in the process of doubling McCarran’s number of international-ready gates from seven to 14, and I personally cannot wait to see those new international gates occupied by more and more of Norwegian Air’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.”

– We are thrilled to see our partnership with Norwegian continue to expand, providing another nonstop option for Europeans to visit Las Vegas,” said Cathy Tull, senior vice president of marketing for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

– The additional accessibility marks the fourth nonstop route by Norwegian, the destination’s fastest growing international carrier, to Las Vegas in the past year and helps to achieve our goal of increasing international visitation over the next decade.”

Las Vegas to London flights will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays, and are now available for purchase at norwegian.com/us with fares starting as low as $199 one-way, including taxes. For the lowest available fares to London and any of Norwegian’s destinations, check the low fare calendar.

The Las Vegas to London route is one of nine new nonstop long-haul routes from the U.S. that Norwegian has announced for 2016, including direct service to Paris. The airline’s first direct service from New York to Paris launches on July 28, followed by Los Angeles on July 30 and Fort Lauderdale on August 4. Las Vegas to Oslo launches on November 1.

Norwegian now offers 40 nonstop routes from the U.S. to London, Paris, Scandinavia and the Caribbean, providing more European routes than any other European airline. All transatlantic flights will be operated on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, one of the world’s most modern and eco-friendly fleets. Last year, Norwegian was named the most fuel-efficient airline on transatlantic routes by the International Council on Clean Transportation.
